Kenyan police investigate after a woman was discovered dead in Nanyuki Town guesthouse
A suspect who checked into the lodge with the dead is being sought by detectives.
According to authorities, the incident occurred after a man and woman had approached the hostel on Sunday and asked for a room.
Police were informed by a lodge attendant that the two also asked to be paid after the service.
Investigators are searching for a suspect in the murder of a lady whose body was discovered at a Nanyuki Town lodge.

At approximately 10 p.m. on Sunday, she let them into the room.
Two hours later, when she attempted to collect payment, she found the room’s door locked from the outside.
Police said that after she asked for assistance, they broke into the room and discovered the woman’s body on the bed, unconscious.
It is thought that the male counterpart, who was absent, strangled the woman before fleeing the room.
According to investigators, the murder’s motive is yet unknown.
The mortuary received the body while conducting the autopsy and other procedures.
The woman’s cause of death will be revealed by the autopsy.
Meanwhile, a man’s body was discovered close to a waterless dam in Lomut, West Pokot County, following a possible murder.
The body had bruises on its face and a swollen right eye. The body had symptoms of strangling, according to the police.
As they transferred the body to the mortuary, authorities stated that the motive for the murder had not yet been determined.
Additionally, authorities discovered the body of a 50-year-old man named Isaac Njeru Matu in Kware, Nairobi County, following a suspected murder.
According to the authorities, his body was discovered at his home in a pool of blood.
