Beyoncé’s Unreleased Music Stolen from Vehicle in Atlanta
Authorities are investigating the theft of five thumb drives containing unreleased music and concert arrangements belonging to pop superstar Beyoncé.
The incident occurred in Atlanta, Georgia, shortly before her “Cowboy Carter” tour commenced.
The Atlanta police have issued a warrant for an unidentified suspect following the theft of computer drives from a rental vehicle used by her choreographer on July 8. These drives held unreleased tracks as well as plans pertinent to her concerts, just two days prior to Beyoncé starting the Atlanta segment of her “Cowboy Carter” tour, named after her album set to release in 2024.
Details Surrounding the Theft
Christopher Grant, Beyoncé’s choreographer, informed law enforcement that upon returning to his rental car last Tuesday, he discovered that the rear window had been shattered and all luggage had been taken from inside.
In his statement, he noted that the drives included watermarked music, some unreleased tracks, show footage plans, and both past and upcoming setlists. In addition to the drives, other missing items included an Apple MacBook, headphones, and various luxury clothing pieces.
Police have conducted searches in locations where signals from the MacBook and headphones were detected; however, no stolen items have been recovered thus far. The suspect for whom a warrant has been issued remains at large.
Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour commenced in April following her receipt of the first “Album of the Year” Grammy for her self-titled album released in 2024. The four-night run in Atlanta concluded on Monday, with two final performances planned for late July in Las Vegas.
