Trump observes Memorial Day: During a Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, President Donald Trump paid tribute to deceased service members, describing them as “great, great warriors” who were “America’s best and bravest.”
“We simply honor their amazing legacy.” Trump stated. In their immortal and everlasting glory, we salute them.
And while we make our country stronger, prouder, freer, and larger than ever before, we keep working tirelessly toward America’s destiny.
During his brief foray into politics, Trump made reference to the republic “that I am fixing after a long and hard four years.” He stated that his modifications were not for discussion today, on this commemorative day.
As is customary for American presidents, Trump laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before he spoke. After laying the wreath, the president paused, took a step back, and saluted while Taps played. He was joined by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance.
The president’s tone changed significantly as the day got underway.
In an all-capital-letter social media post, Trump blasted former President Joe Biden, branding him the “scum” who, according to him, left an open border and spent the previous four years attempting to destroy the nation with radical leftism.
Trump also referred to federal judges as “monsters who want our country to go to hell” for thwarting attempts to implement his mass deportation agenda.
That came after he wrote, “HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!” in a second post. We deem it forbidden to wish people a good Memorial Day, as Memorial Day is a melancholic day to memorialise those lost in duty.
