Cristiano Ronaldo moved onto 956 career goals after scoring twice for Al-Nassr, and he expressed his determination to reach 1,000 before retiring.

956 goals are not enough: Cristiano Ronaldo wants to break the magic mark. Only then will he stop playing football.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reaffirmed his ambition to reach the 1,000-goal mark during his career. “You know what my goal is.

I want to win titles and I want to reach that number you all know. I will definitely reach that number if I don’t get injured,” the 40-year-old said on Sunday at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony in Dubai.

It doesn’t matter where I play, whether in the Middle East or in Europe.

Ronaldo, who scored twice for his club Al-Nassr on Saturday, currently has 956 goals across all competitions. In Dubai, Ronaldo was named the best player in the Middle East.

“It’s difficult to keep playing, but I’m motivated,” he said afterwards. “My passion is immense.

It doesn’t matter where I play, whether in the Middle East or in Europe. I always enjoy playing football and want to continue.”

Portugal’s captain had previously announced that the 2026 World Cup would be his last. However, Ronaldo is likely to continue playing at club level. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is under contract with Al-Nassr until 2027.
