VIDEO: A massive fire breaks out at a tower in Dubai
According to the Dubai Media Office (DMO), a huge fire started in a 67-story building in Marina on Saturday.
After the fire broke out late Friday night, all 3,820 inhabitants of the Marina Pinnacle’s 764 apartments were safely evacuated.
According to the Khaleej Times newspaper, Dubai Civil Defense teams put out the fire after six hours of nonstop effort.
According to the DMO, the authorities are putting the safety and wellbeing of the impacted inhabitants first and are collaborating closely with the building’s developer to set up temporary housing for them.
In a post on X at 1:44 am on Saturday, the DMO stated, “All occupants were safely evacuated from the 67-story building by specialized teams, who prioritized their health and safety throughout the operation.
The fire is still being completely contained. “Ambulance teams and medical staff are on site to offer full medical and mental support to the safely evacuated residents,” the DMO stated at 2.09 a.m.
Marina Pinnacle, commonly referred to as Tiger Tower, has previously caught fire.
According to Khaleej Times, a cooking mishap in May 2015 started a fire on the 47th story that extended to the 48th level before Dubai Civil Defence was able to put it out.
