An adult man identified as Festus died following a severe asthma-related medical emergency that occurred during a hotel stay.
The incident took place inside his hotel room, where he stayed alone before the sudden deterioration of his health.
Festus lived with asthma and relied on a prescribed inhaler to manage acute breathing difficulties during attacks.

On that day, he forgot the inhaler inside his vehicle, which remained parked outside the hotel compound.
Festus experienced increasing difficulty in breathing while inside the room, and the symptoms escalated rapidly into a critical condition.
His physical state prevented him from walking or safely reaching the vehicle to retrieve the inhaler on his own.
He contacted a colleague identified as Collate and requested assistance to collect the inhaler from the car.
Collate responded immediately and left the hotel room to retrieve the medication, believing that time allowed for intervention.

During her absence, Festus’s condition worsened significantly as he continued to struggle for air without access to emergency medication.
Collate did not possess medical training and lacked knowledge on how to manage a severe asthma attack upon her return.
She rushed to alert other people nearby, who responded by returning to the room to offer assistance.
By the time help arrived, Festus had already lost vital functions, and medical intervention failed to reverse the effects of the asthma attack that caused his death.
