Arsenal Sweat Over Odegaard Injury After West Ham Clash

Martin Odegaard, was forced Midfielder, has now been withdrawn before half-time in three straight league games.

Arsenal’s victory over West Ham on Saturday came with a fresh injury concern as captain Martin Odegaard was taken off in the first half after a heavy collision with Crysencio Summerville. The 2-0 result pushed the Gunners to the top of the Premier League heading into the international break, but the Norwegian’s exit overshadowed the win.

This latest setback marked the third consecutive league match in which Odegaard has been unable to complete the first half. He was also forced off early in recent fixtures against Newcastle United and Manchester City, raising concerns over his fitness.

Arsenal have not disclosed the exact extent of the problem. However, they confirmed the 25-year-old will remain at the Sobha Realty Training Centre in London for further treatment instead of joining up with Norway’s national team for their upcoming friendlies against Israel and New Zealand.

“Martin will continue to be assessed and treated by our medical team… with the aim of a return to action as soon as possible,” the club announced.

Arsenal resume Premier League duty with a trip to Fulham on October 18 before facing Atletico Madrid in the Champions League three days later. The club is hopeful Odegaard will recover in time, but his availability remains uncertain.
