Joint MSS and PNH forces launched a night raid on Monday, August 25, 2025.
In the early hours of Monday, August 25, 2025, security forces from the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) and the Haitian National Police (PNH) carried out a night operation between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.
The raid was aimed at retaking Télcos Station from gangs led by the feared figure known as “Izo2.” Specialised units moved methodically, clearing houses and streets to root out armed resistance.
During the operation, several gang members were arrested while trying to escape or hide. Security teams also recovered weapons and other materials linked to the criminal group.
After securing the station, MSS and PNH dismantled gang roadblocks that had blocked key routes to Télcos and Kenscoff. This restored movement for residents who had been trapped by gang control.
PNH Director General Vladimir Paraison and MSS Force Commander Godfrey Otunge called the operation a major turning point.
“The era of gang impunity is over,” they said.
They added that more targeted operations are already being planned, warning that any armed group defying state authority will face decisive action.
