Manchester City signs a new 10-year kit deal with Puma worth £1 billion (Ksh178B).
Manchester City have penned a jaw-dropping deal with sportswear giants Puma, locking in a £1 billion partnership that stretches to 2035. With this, City will earn about Ksh17.8 billion every year, making it the largest kit manufacturing agreement in Premier League history.
The new contract goes beyond their previous £65 million-a-year deal signed in 2019 and overtakes Manchester United’s £90 million annual agreement with Adidas from 2023.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group, credited the Puma relationship for pushing boundaries in football branding and fan engagement.
“We joined forces with Puma to challenge expectations — and we’ve done even more than we imagined,” Soriano said.
From kit designs to fan campaigns, Puma has become a key part of City’s identity in the last six seasons.
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld also called the partnership a win for both sides.
“On and off the pitch, this has been a success — trophies, global reach, and strong visibility,” Hoeld said.
Interestingly, the record-breaking deal comes after City finished third in the league — their first season without major silverware since 2017. They were also beaten by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final and exited the Club World Cup early after losing to Al-Hilal.
Yet, despite the dip in results, the club’s commercial muscle remains unmatched, and this Puma deal cements their global influence.
