Brentford have promoted Keith Andrews to head coach, signing him on a three-year contract.

Brentford have chosen a familiar face to lead their next chapter, naming Keith Andrews as the new head coach following Thomas Frank’s exit. The 44-year-old has been handed a three-year deal, marking his first-ever stint as the main man in charge.

Andrews joined the Bees just last year as a set-piece specialist. Before that, he spent time coaching teams at MK Dons, Sheffield United, and with the Republic of Ireland national side. Now, he steps into the spotlight with plenty of eyes watching his next move.

This isn’t the first time Brentford have promoted from within. Much like how Frank rose from assistant to head coach in 2018 after Dean Smith left, the club is again backing its own. While some fans may call it a risky bet, others see it as a sign of trust and consistency.

Andrews takes over during a busy time at the Gtech Community Stadium. There have already been major changes to the squad, with Irish keeper Caoimhin Kelleher arriving from Liverpool and Dutchman Mark Flekken heading to Bayer Leverkusen.

Eyes on Transfers and Future

More moves could still come. Christian Norgaard is being linked with a switch to Arsenal, and Bryan Mbeumo is the subject of a new £60 million offer from Manchester United. As Andrews begins his new role, he’ll have to steady the team both on and off the pitch.
