US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says the military is fully ready to carry out any order from President Trump
The US military is on full alert and ready to respond to any command made by President Donald Trump, especially concerning national security and foreign conflict. This was confirmed by Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth during a session with the Senate Armed Services Committee on Wednesday.
Hegseth Avoids Iran Strike Question
While addressing lawmakers, Hegseth remained firm but cautious. He didn’t reveal if the Pentagon had already lined up potential strike options targeting Iran. However, he made it clear that the Department of Defence is fully prepared for whatever course of action the president may choose.
“Ready to Act, If Needed”
“If and when those decisions are made, the Department is prepared to execute them,” Hegseth stated plainly, signalling the military’s readiness without confirming anything specific.
Congress Presses for Clarity
Senators, aware of rising tensions in the Middle East, pressed the Secretary for more information. But Hegseth stayed measured, avoiding direct answers that could confirm ongoing plans or intentions.
