Police officer loses pistol rifle during Raila Odinga’s funeral.
Loss of Firearm During Funeral in Bondo, Siaya County
A Jericho pistol belonging to PC Benson Kodia, a GSU officer attached to the Kakamega Governor’s VIP Protection Unit, was snatched by unknown youths at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology during the funeral of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. as the officer escorted the Governor from the venue. The DCI Bondo has launched investigations to recover the firearm and arrest those involved.
