Longhorn Publishers Announces Exit of Enid Muriuki, Appoints Anne Otunga as New Company Secretary

Longhorn Publishers has confirmed the resignation of Company Secretary Enid Muriuki, effective September 24, 2025.

In a notice dated September 24, Longhorn Publishers PLC announced that its long-serving Company Secretary, Enid Muriuki, had resigned with immediate effect.

“Ms Enid Muriuki has resigned from her position as Company Secretary, effective 24 September 2025. Enid has served on the Board in various committees for more than 10 years,” the Board said.

The directors thanked her for her contribution, noting that she played a central role in strengthening the company’s governance framework and ensuring compliance with CMA and NSE requirements.

Muriuki, who joined Longhorn in 2011, is a Certified Public Secretary and Certified Governance Auditor with 18 years’ experience.

The company also confirmed the appointment of FCS Anne Otunga as the new Company Secretary, effective the same day.

“We are pleased to welcome FCS Anne Otunga as the new Company Secretary, effective 24th September 2025. With over 15 years of experience in corporate governance, law, and compliance, Anne brings invaluable expertise to the Group,” the notice added.

Otunga is an Advocate of the High Court, a Certified Public Secretary, a Certified Trainer of Trainers, and a Partner at Bellmac Consulting LLP.
She holds an LL.M. in Corporate Governance and the Law from the University of Nairobi and an MBA in Strategic & HR Management from Daystar University.

The appointment was approved by the Capital Markets Authority under the 2023 disclosure regulations.

This announcement comes shortly after Longhorn confirmed that its CEO, Maxwell Wahome, would leave office on September 30, 2025, after nine years with the company.

“Over this period, he provided visionary leadership and made significant contributions to Longhorn’s growth. His efforts have strengthened the company’s market position and laid a solid foundation for continued success,” the Board noted.

Wahome’s role will be temporarily filled by Simon Ngigi, who has been appointed as Acting CEO.
