The death of Legacy Motors founder and CEO Okey Ezeibe has raised questions after he was found dead in a hotel room in Imo State, Nigeria.
Ezeibe, who hailed from Awgbu in Anambra State, was reportedly in Imo for a scheduled meeting when he was found dead on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
According to reports, Ezeibe was expected to meet Chief Martins Agbaso, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Imo State, after an earlier meeting arrangement could not take place.
Okey Ezeibe Found Dead in Imo State Hotel
Reports said Ezeibe was expected to leave his hotel after his scheduled activities, but his associates became concerned when he did not leave his room at the agreed time.
They reportedly knocked on the hotel room door before eventually forcing it open, where they discovered Ezeibe’s body.
Information available at the time reportedly pointed to a possible heart attack as the cause of death. However, there has been no official medical confirmation establishing the cause of death.
