Months after the renovation of Nairobi State House began, recent photos shared online have revealed its new look.
President William Ruto had explained the need to renovate State House, saying it needed a new look, and changed its roof to a flat surface.
On December 12, 2025, President Ruto agreed to rename the new Talanta Stadium the Raila Odinga International Stadium once it’s complete.
Speaking during Jamhuri Day, Ruto responded to Nairobi County Governor Sakaja, who suggested renaming Talanta Stadium in honor of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The President called on Kenyans to acknowledge the developments made by his government.
Ruto stated that many Kenyans criticize his government without crediting the visible progress.
On corruption, Ruto urged Kenyans to work with authorities by reporting corrupt officials.
He warned that anyone caught engaging in corruption will face consequences, saying he won’t intervene, even for friends adding that corruption is not only theft of public funds but also theft of people’s hope.
