Jirongo’s first wife, Joan Kimeto, has revealed that the former member of parliament once introduced 18 women as his wives.
Kimeto, who broke her silence following the death of the former member of parliament who also served as a minister, said that his love for women was the reason their marriage ended.
According to reports, Kimeto left Jirongo, who later married two more women and allegedly had 38 children with all his women.

She acknowledged that even though he suffered financially and physically, he loved and cherished his family, adding that he was a good father.
Kimeto revealed that Jirongo was living in separate houses from his 4 wives.
She added that his home in Gigiri belonged to an old politician who did not desert him.
Meanwhile, the family has called for investigations, citing inconsistencies from witnesses.
According to reports, Jirongo died in a tragic road accident on December 13, 2025, on the Nairobi-Nakuru road at Karai in Naivasha after his Mercedes collided with a bus.
The bus driver alleged that Jirongo failed to give way after leaving a petrol station, leading to the tragic incident that claimed his life on the spot.

Meanwhile, friends have alleged that he did not reveal plans to leave Nairobi the day he died.
