Renowned Kalenjin Artist Sharon Chepngeno and her husband Rana Captain from Keringet were involved in a road accident at Mosoriot while travelling to Bomet and both were rushed to the hospital for quick treatment and check-ups.
Their vehicle reportedly collided head-on with a Kenya Power Land Cruiser. According to reports, the couple was rushed to ST. Luke Hospital Eldoret, where they are currently in stable condition.
Nathan sustained an injury to his leg, while Sharon suffered a fractured hand. They are currently receiving medical attention.
Fans who took to Facebook spoke, wishing them a quick and full recovery. Meanwhile, the National Police Service has called on Kenyan motorists to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, speaking about road accidents in Kenya, said that the National Police Service, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, along with the National Transport and Safety Authority, are working together to reduce road accidents.
He also revealed that the government has deployed police across the country to enforce road rules and regulations, adding that instant fines and penalties have been introduced to curb cases of road accidents.
