The investigation into Hon. Cyrus Jirongo’s death is ongoing and currently taking a serious turn following the recent finding that the DCI has just exposed on there official pages online.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations visited Keringet, Nakuru County, to investigate a white Toyota Probox (KDJ 564E) linked to the accident.
It was established that the vehicle is registered to Nakuru County Assembly Majority Leader William Mutai and managed by his wife.

It was allegedly hired by Denis Kipyegon Koech to transport family from JKIA after picking their son from New Mexico University.
On Dec 12, 2025, Koech’s family stopped at Eagol Petrol Station, Karai, to refill wiper fluid. They saw Jirongo exit the station, then heard a crash.
They used headlights to aid rescue efforts and left as other motorists arrived.
The DCI is verifying claims and assuring thorough investigations.
