AIPCA church leaders are investigating a chaotic incident that occurred during a service attended by President William Ruto, where supporters of Governor Wamatangi and MP Alice Ng’ang’a clashed.
The church claims the hecklers were not members and some politicians allegedly hired women to disrupt the service.
The incident happened in Gatundu North, Kiambu County, with both sides exchanging heated words.
Wamatangi’s supporters accused Ng’ang’a’s camp of disrespecting the governor, while Ng’ang’a’s supporters said she’s preparing to replace Wamatangi as governor.
The church has condemned the violence and is taking action against those involved.
The incident has sparked widespread attention, with calls for calm and peaceful politics.
President William Ruto who also spoke at the church criticized the United Opposition for attacking the government instead of selling their agenda to Kenyans.
Ruto who was speaking about the current political situation in the country, said that he was not going to engage in petty politics affirming that he has a job to do.
