Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve died in a road accident in Haiti on September 1, 2025.
The remains of the late Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve returned home on Friday evening, drawing tears and heavy hearts at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Senior officers, fellow servicemen, and his grieving family gathered to receive him in a moment filled with respect and sorrow.
Mr Isaac Alimaa, SAIG and Commandant of the National Police College Embakasi ‘A’ Campus, led the reception, standing side by side with colleagues and relatives, including the officer’s mother, Mrs Serah Nzuve.
Corporal Nzuve, who had been deployed under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) in Haiti, lost his life in a road accident on September 1. His death marked the tragic end of a career dedicated to service, both at home and abroad.
After arrival, his body was moved to Chiromo Mortuary for preservation as preparations for his final farewell began.
In an official statement, the National Police Service expressed sorrow and solidarity:
“We stand in solidarity with the family of Corporal Nzuve as we mourn the loss of a dedicated officer who died in the line of duty.”
The Service pledged to walk with the family through this painful moment, promising support and comfort as burial arrangements are finalised.
Colleagues and leaders have described the late Corporal Nzuve as a committed officer whose sacrifice went beyond Kenya’s borders in pursuit of international peace. His loss, they noted, is not only personal to his family but also a blow to the entire police fraternity and the nation.
