Jourdan Atkinson, once a personal chef to Sean “Diddy” Combs, says she’s scared for her safety after the rapper was cleared of serious federal sex trafficking charges. Diddy was found guilty on Wednesday of two charges related to prostitution, but the court acquitted him on more serious accusations like trafficking and racketeering.

The outcome has shaken several alleged victims and witnesses, including Atkinson, who called the ruling “a grave miscarriage of justice.”

Letter to the Judge Sparks Action

Atkinson didn’t take the stand during the trial but was listed as a government witness. In a letter addressed to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, she pleaded for Diddy to remain behind bars, saying she feared what might happen if he walked free.

The judge honoured her concerns and ruled that Combs would stay in custody until he is sentenced.

After the court decision, Atkinson posted emotional videos on Instagram, where she said she had endured physical abuse while working for Diddy. She also claimed she saw him assault his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura.

“I am not okay. I have not been okay,” she said. “I stand with Cassie, as I always have.”

In her video messages, Atkinson expressed deep frustration and pain. “This past year and a half has been traumatizing. This verdict is devastating,” she wrote in her letter. She stood by everything she had said in the past, stating, “I stand on everything that I have always said.”

Had the court found Diddy guilty of sex trafficking, he would have faced at least 15 years in prison, possibly more. Now, with the two convictions on lesser counts, the hip-hop star faces a maximum of 20 years 10 for each count.

His sentencing is set to take place in the coming months as public attention on the case remains high.
