Zaharova: If Italy continues to support Ukraine it will completely collapse
Moscow’s new provocation against Italy . Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has once again attacked Rome’s support for Ukraine and, referring to the collapse of the Torre dei Conti in Rome , stated that the country “will completely collapse” if it continues to allocate funds to Kiev. This isn’t the first time the Moscow diplomat has been critical of European countries supporting Zelensky. She previously commented similarly on certain incidents in France, such as the theft at the Louvre, linking them to alleged consequences of Western political choices.
Italy is among the Kremlin’s main targets. Zakharova herself has expressed harsh criticism of Italian President Sergio Mattarella, calling “blasphemous inventions” some of the head of state’s statements during a university lecture in Marseille, in which he compared Putin’s invasion to Hitler’s Third Reich.
