Why These 3 Major Countries Escaped Trump's Tariffs

Donald Trump blasts Vladimir Putin, calling him “crazy” after deadly attacks in Ukraine.

Tensions flared over the weekend after Russia carried out one of its strongest attacks on Ukraine since the war broke out three years ago. The strikes hit several cities, leaving at least 12 people dead, among them children, and injuring dozens more. Ukrainian leaders said the attacks mainly targeted civilian buildings.

The deadly airstrikes quickly drew international criticism. U.S. President Donald Trump strongly voiced his anger, saying Russian President Vladimir Putin has “gone crazy.” In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Putin is attacking civilians with no reason, calling the air raids “needless and brutal.”

“I don’t know what’s happening with Putin,” Trump told reporters later. “He’s killing too many people, and I’m not okay with that.”

Trump Questions Zelensky, Eyes New Sanctions

While Trump condemned Putin, he didn’t spare Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky either. Trump accused Zelensky of making matters worse through his public remarks. “Zelensky keeps talking in a way that causes problems. He should stop,” Trump wrote online.

Despite previously showing doubt about more punishment for Russia, Trump hinted that sanctions could now be back on the table. He revealed he had spoken with Putin just before the attacks in an attempt to arrange a temporary 30-day ceasefire. “We were talking peace, and he was firing missiles,” Trump said, expressing disappointment over Putin’s actions.

Zelensky, on the other hand, expressed frustration with how slow Western powers have reacted. He said that while people enjoy weekends and holidays, the war in Ukraine never stops. “This silence from our friends only encourages more attacks,” he warned.

Trump now says both Russia and Ukraine will soon sit down to talk peace. He added that only the two sides know how to settle the matter and said outside influence won’t help much. “Only they know the details of what should be agreed upon,” he stated.

As the violence grows and Trump’s tone toughens, many are watching closely to see if this marks a shift in America’s position — or just more political noise.
