Today, several corrupt government officials have been arrested, over corruption. According to the report, these incidents have occurred in Kisii county, where two technical college instructors have been arrested.
The two have been accused of collecting bribes from students, so as to pass them in their NTSA exams. Surprisingly, the Plant Operation Department is said to have been demanding 3,100 Kenya shillings fee from every student scheduled to sit for these exams.
The two are suspected to have also been instructing students to pay school fees in cash, or through their personal mobile numbers. They are said to have collected 34 million Kenya shillings through M-Pesa, and 8 millions in cash.

The two are currently being held by the police inside the cells as they await to be aligned in the court of law for judgment. It’s sad that those who failed to pay this bribe, failed automatically.
Let’s hope that such corrupt government officials, will be arrested and fired from their roles. It’s sad that our students are suffering in schools, for they are supposed to bribe educators, despite learning.
