Ruto has invested a lot in the agricultural sector and also in the hotel industry. However, here are four multi-billion hotels around Nairobi that are linked to the Head of State.

1.Weston Hotel

One of the largest hotel owners in Kenya, William Ruto owns some of the biggest and best hotels in the counrty and they atract both the rich and famous as well as tourists from abroad.

His Weston Hotel is located on Lang’ata Road, right opposite Wilson Airport and sits a good distance from all the noise of the airport and roads surroundng it.

Ruto’s 4 star hotel features luxurious suites that are individually designed and the hotel has a number of up-market eateries including the Lelai Restaurant.

2.Dolphine Hotel

The 600-room Dolphine Hotel is located in Shanzu, Mombasa County. The three-star facility sits on a 10-acre piece of land and promises easy access to the beach and great views of the Indian Ocean.It promises a relaxing experience, incorporating a pool, lounges and luxurious rooms in an all-white three-storey building.

Multiple reports pegged the investment at around Ksh600 million with the hotel overtaking 300-room Pride Inn Paradise as the largest hotel in the area.

3.Boulevard Hotel

One of the busiest hotels in the city is the Boulevard Hotel, which is situated on Harry Thuku Road in Nairobi CBD. The Boulevard Hotel was a member of the Sentrim Group of Hotels, owned by Indian businessman Jac Patel, which sold it to DP Ruto in 2016. The hotel is close to the Central Police Station and KBC.

There are 98 rooms total, all of which have been refurbished to the highest caliber. The hotel is well-liked for both recreation and refreshments because it has an outdoor pool, which raises demand for the establishment.

4.Sixeighty Hotel

Indian mogul Jac Patel recently was seeking to sell the 680 Hotel as per an advert placed in one of the local dailies, Daily Nation.

The hotel, located at the intersection of Kenyatta Avenue and Muindi Bingu, has been a constant source of controversy with allegations of it being owned by President William Ruto.

The 10-storey 3-star hotel was reportedly sold to the tune of Ksh 3 billion, with a downpayment of Ksh2 billion supposedly made in a move that saw members of the public and activists question Ruto’s sudden financial strength.
