The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has activated its online portal for checking the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) provisional results. Although the system is now live, candidates will only be able to view their results once KNEC officially releases them.
To access the results, students will need their index number and the year of examination. KNEC says this early activation is part of routine preparations to ensure the portal can handle high traffic when results are published. This helps avoid delays and technical glitches that could affect thousands of users.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba confirmed that the 2025 KCSE results will be released in the second week of January 2026. Parents, candidates, and teachers are advised to expect the announcement before January 15 through official Ministry of Education channels.
The 2025 KCSE exams concluded in November after several weeks of nationwide testing. As the release date approaches, both KNEC and the Ministry urge the public to ignore unverified claims on social media and rely solely on official updates.
Once officially released, candidates can check their results online, while schools will receive formal documentation to guide further academic planning. This preparation ensures a smooth, transparent, and timely release for all stakeholders.
