Tammy Abraham signs a one-year loan deal with Turkish side Besiktas.
English striker Tammy Abraham has officially joined Besiktas on loan from AS Roma for the upcoming 2025–2026 season. The Turkish giants announced on Friday, confirming the arrival of the 27-year-old forward, who also passed his medical earlier in the week.
Besiktas will pay Roma €2 million for the one-year loan. The agreement also includes an option to make the transfer permanent for €13 million beginning in the 2026–2027 season. The full payment, if activated, will be spread out in instalments until 2030, as revealed by the club.
Tammy, whose full name is Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, signed with Roma in 2021 from Chelsea for €41 million. He quickly impressed in Italy, helping Roma lift the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022.
In the 2024–2025 season, Abraham was loaned to AC Milan, Roma’s city rivals. During his time there, he managed to score 10 goals in all competitions, showing glimpses of his former form despite limited starts.
Besiktas Targets Big Season with Reinforcements
With his contract at Roma nearing its end, the move to Turkey offers Abraham a chance to rebuild his momentum. Besiktas, on the other hand, is hopeful that his presence will strengthen their attack as they aim for local titles and improved European campaigns.
