Raúl Ramírez, a 19-year-old goalkeeper for Colindres, died from head injuries.

A fifth-division game in Spain has ended in tragedy after 19-year-old goalkeeper Raúl Ramírez of Colindres lost his life following a collision with another player. The match, played at Revilla on Saturday, was suspended immediately after the accident.

Ramírez was rushed to the hospital after suffering two cardiorespiratory arrests, one while still on the field and another inside the ambulance. Despite efforts from doctors, his condition worsened, and he was later declared brain dead.

The young player’s family made the difficult decision to donate his organs, turning their loss into a chance to save other lives.

Spanish football authorities confirmed that all matches in the next round will begin with a moment of silence to honour the late goalkeeper.
