Kenya’s entertainment world was thrown into deep sorrow on October 5, 2025, after news broke that Gengetone artist Shalkido Ga Cucu had lost his life in a tragic road accident along Thika Road.
The sudden death of the young musician shocked fans and fellow artists alike, marking a painful moment for the entire Gengetone community.
According to reports, Shalkido was involved in a serious motorbike crash and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts to save him, his injuries were too severe.

“I don’t even know what to say,” Miracle Baby said emotionally.
“His dad called me to tell me he was gone. We used to talk once in a while, but this is too sudden.”
