Popular Mugithi musician Samidoh has stirred mixed reactions online after hinting that he may undergo a vasectomy this year.
The singer, whose real name is Samuel Muchoki, shared a brief but loaded message on his Facebook page on Friday night while talking about the goals he has set for himself in 2026. In the post, Samidoh said his main focus this year is peace and financial stability.
“Hii mwaka ni ile niliwashow wadau… its peace, money and probably vasect…” he wrote.
Although he did not finish the word “vasectomy,” many fans quickly picked up on what he meant, triggering a wave of reactions across social media.
Some supported his choice, saying it reflected maturity and responsibility, while others expressed surprise, joking or questioning the decision.
The revelation comes at a time when Samidoh is already a father of five children.
He has three children with his long-time wife Edday Nderitu two daughters and a son named Shirleen Muchoki, Michael Ndirangu, and Nimu Muchoki.
The Mugithi star also has two children with nominated senator Karen Nyamu. The two children are Samuel Muchoki Junior and Taraya Wairimu.
Samidoh has in the past kept his personal life in the public eye, often sparking debate whenever he opens up about family, relationships, or life choices. His latest post appears to reflect a desire for calm and control as he moves into a new phase of his life.
