Pastor Kanyari & Tash, the widower of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo, have made their first public appearance together while receiving their children at JKIA following a return trip from London.

The rare joint appearance drew public attention, coming months after Betty Bayo’s death in 2025.

In photos shared online, the two men are seen standing side by side with the children, a moment many observers described as significant and reassuring.

The children had reportedly traveled to the United Kingdom for a Christmas visit, where they spent time away from the spotlight.

Upon arrival at JKIA, the two warmly welcomed them as they prepared to head home.

Witnesses at the airport described the atmosphere as calm and composed, with the adults focused on the children’s comfort. The group briefly paused for photos before quietly exiting the terminal.

The images quickly sparked conversations on social media, with many Kenyans applauding the maturity and cooperation shown by both men.

The airport meeting came days after Pastor Kanyari spoke openly in church about why he allowed the children to travel to the UK.

He explained that he wanted them to have a change of environment and time to relax their minds.

Kanyari revealed that the children visited their late mother’s close friend, Shiro Stuart, during the trip.

He said the decision was made after discussions with Tash, emphasizing mutual understanding.

According to Kanyari, he chose to personally pay for the flight tickets to ease the burden on Tash.

He also praised Tash for taking good care of the children and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable.
