Nigerian Police Detain Two Factory Employees
On January 12, 2025, Mr. Chen Wang, an employee of WH Great Resource Ltd., was discovered dead in his office with multiple stab wounds, prompting a thorough investigation led by the Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) alongside the Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
Following an extensive inquiry that extended across several states, the Nigeria Police Force has arrested two factory employees suspected of being involved in Mr. Wang’s murder.
The investigation uncovered that the suspects, identified as Yunusa Abdullahi, 25, from Borno State, and Peace Keno Danlami, 20, from Taraba State, were reportedly involved in a romantic relationship. They allegedly took advantage of reduced staffing at the company on the day of the incident to disable the security system and access Mr. Wang’s office.
According to a police statement released by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, “They fatally attacked the victim, stole keys to his residence, and subsequently burglarized his home before fleeing Ogun State with stolen money.”
After several months of technical surveillance and digital forensics efforts, law enforcement officials located and apprehended the pair in Jos, Plateau State on July 14, 2025. At that time, they were reportedly living under assumed identities.
Inspector General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun commended the Ogun State Command along with TIU and detectives for their dedication and relentless efforts in pursuing justice during this case.
He assured both Nigerians and members of the international community regarding the police’s commitment to safeguarding citizens as well as foreign nationals through proactive measures informed by intelligence-led operations.
The suspects are currently held in custody and will face charges in court upon completion of ongoing investigations.
