The police mission in Masaka village turned violent.

Police officers in Masaka village, Mbooni, faced resistance during an arrest mission on Monday. The suspect they targeted was wanted for housebreaking. However, trouble started when relatives allegedly stepped in to stop the officers.

During the struggle, Constable Dominic Langat was bitten on the right palm, leaving him with serious injuries. His fellow officers managed to overpower the suspect and placed him under arrest.

The injured officer was rushed to Kathulumbi Health Centre for first aid. He was later referred to Wote County Teaching and Referral Hospital for specialised treatment. Police confirmed that he is out of danger and recovering.

Authorities strongly condemned the violent act. They warned that anyone who attacks or obstructs officers on duty will face tough legal consequences.

This incident shows how dangerous arrest missions can turn when suspects and relatives fight back against the law.
