Brian Owino Omondi is charged with forgery, fraud, and obtaining money by false pretences.
The Milimani Law Courts have charged Brian Owino Omondi with several counts tied to a fraudulent Teachers Service Commission (TSC) job scheme.
In the first count, Omondi is accused of conspiring with others not before the court to forge TSC documents. He also faces a second charge of preparing a fake TSC employment application form without authority, allegedly intended to deceive job seekers.
Prosecutors told the court that on December 6, 2024, in Nairobi County, Omondi obtained Ksh200,000 from Rispah Kachieri. He allegedly promised her employment with the TSC, which turned out to be false.
The defence requested lenient bond terms and the release of Omondi’s confiscated mobile phones. While the prosecution did not oppose bail, they objected to handing back the phones, saying they are still under forensic analysis.
The magistrate granted Omondi a bond of Ksh500,000 and scheduled the pretrial hearing for October 2, 2025.
