Chelsea forward Joao Felix is set to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in a deal worth up to £43.7 million. The Portuguese attacker, 25, has received the green light to travel to Riyadh and complete his medical ahead of the move.

Felix, who will now play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, joins after interest from Benfica was overtaken by Al-Nassr’s offer. Chelsea will recover the £45 million they spent to sign him permanently from Atletico Madrid last year. Earlier this year, he also had a six-month loan stint at AC Milan, which earned Chelsea a £5 million loan fee.

The move is part of Chelsea’s financial recalibration this summer. The club has already sold Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Noni Madueke, bringing in nearly £130 million. More players, including Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga, and Armando Broja, are reportedly on the chopping block.

Despite spending over £212 million on new talent such as Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, and Joao Pedro, Chelsea are under UEFA pressure to end the window with a positive transfer balance. Failure to do so could impact their eligibility to register new players for the Champions League.

Felix’s move to Al-Nassr marks another major signing for Saudi Arabia’s top league as it continues to attract global stars.
