Jackie Matubia clears the air on viral affair claims.
Actress Jackie Matubia has come out strongly to dismiss claims linking her romantically to controversial businessman Steve Odek. The rumours spread after photos showed her inside Odek’s car, leading to speculation about an alleged affair.
Through a video posted on her socials, Matubia explained that she was only offered a ride and was seated in the back, not the front passenger seat.
“Ee passenger princess ndio wankaanga hapa… Stop dragging my name with @steveodek_official,” she said, stressing she would never hide if she was actually in a relationship.
The actress also fired back at online trolls, asking them to confront her openly rather than using anonymous pages.
“If you want to insult me, come with your chest. Leave the pseudo accounts. And next time, at least come with someone I’ve actually been with,” she wrote.
Matubia went on to reveal that her bond with Odek is nothing new, saying they have been close friends since she was 18.
“Life is so private that you don’t even know we’ve been friends for years. If I wanted, I would have!” she declared.
She described Ellah Ray’s remarks as desperate attempts to tarnish her name and twist a long-standing friendship.
The drama comes only days after Ellah Ray, Odek’s baby mama and Amber Ray’s sister, accused him of being unfaithful with multiple women and exploiting slay queens online.
Odek, who already carries a controversial reputation, now finds himself once again at the centre of messy scandals in Kenya’s celebrity scene.
