American streamer IShowSpeed has wrapped up his lively visit to Kenya, leaving behind smiles, cheers, and a milestone he will remember for a long time.
The popular YouTuber, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., arrived in the country as part of his Africa tour. Kenya quickly became one of the most talked-about stops on his journey.
During his stay, Speed immersed himself in everyday Kenyan life. He visited Upper Hill High School, where students welcomed him with excitement. He later toured Nairobi National Park, taking in the wildlife and interacting freely with locals.
Speed was also seen cruising through Nairobi streets in the city’s famous decorated matatus. The experience clearly impressed him, as he laughed, danced, and shared the moments live with millions watching online.
One of the highlights of the trip came during his livestream. As fans followed closely, Speed’s YouTube subscriber count kept climbing. Before ending the stream, the number finally hit 48 million.
Overcome with joy, Speed paused to thank Kenyans for their support. He noted that he gained more than 360,000 subscribers during the stream alone, calling Kenya his best-performing stop in Africa so far. His message was simple and heartfelt, filled with gratitude and excitement.
The streamer also linked up with Kenyan influencer Bradley Mtall, popularly known as the Gen Z Goliath. The two shared a friendly basketball game, adding to the fun moments from the visit.
Online, fans reacted with pride and celebration. Many praised Kenya’s energy, while others called the livestream one of the best from Speed’s entire Africa tour.
As he signed off, Speed hinted that his time in Kenya may not be over. If his words are anything to go by, a return visit could be closer than many expect.
