Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has been detained in Lahore under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance, according to family and party sources.
(Dunya News) Sources said Aleema Khan was taken into custody by Lytton Road Police while she was travelling towards the Lahore Gymkhana with her driver.
Her vehicle was subsequently taken to the Lytton Road Police Station.
Police approached the Lahore deputy commissioner for her detention, following which a Section 3-MPO order was issued.
Aleema Khan was later shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail. A subsequent report said the detention order covers 30 days.
