Betty, who passed away suddenly last week, has left the nation in mourning, and none feels the loss more deeply than her husband of two years, Tash.

The grief was visible as Tash arrived at Kenyatta Memorial Home to collect the body of his beloved wife. With teary eyes and a heavy heart, he moved in silence, surrounded by family, close friends, and mourners who came to pay their last respects. His pain was undeniable calm but crushed, the image of a man who had just lost his world.
Speaking during the ceremony, Tash emotionally recalled the day Betty passed. He wasn’t around when the tragedy struck.
It happened so fast what started as a normal medical concern quickly spiraled into a fatal emergency. Within hours, she was gone.
Tash revealed that they were aware of the illness Betty had been battling and were hopeful she would recover.
She was under medication and had shown signs of improvement. Her sudden demise was, therefore, not just painful but shocking to those closest to her.

Betty Bayo’s music, testimony, and unwavering faith touched millions. Today, as her body is lowered into the ground, her legacy lives on through her music, her children, and the countless lives she inspired.
As Tash stood beside her coffin, his silent tears spoke volumes a love lost too soon, and a goodbye that came far too early. Kenya mourns with him.
