The race to succeed the former Prime minister the late Raila Odinga as the Luo Kingpin gains momentum as key political leaders and government officials’ names now appear as his key successor a head of the August 2027 general elections.
Among the key potential leaders who tops the list include the Energy cabinet secretary Opiyo Wandayi, Treasury Cabinet secretary John Mbadi, Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino, Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga, Interior PS Raymond Omollo among other key leaders.
The next leader who will succeed to take over from the former ODM leader Raila Odinga will be able to lead the Nyanza region politically to the August 2027 general elections.
