Fresh details have now emerged regarding the condition of renowned Kikuyu musician Njeru Thiga, who recently travelled to India for specialised treatment after being diagnosed with adrenal cancer.
According to close family sources, the Ti Tuhu hitmaker has successfully undergone surgery and is currently recovering well.
The encouraging update was shared by his wife, Ann Njambi, who accompanied him to India for the life-saving procedure. Taking to Njeru Thiga’s official Facebook page, Ann posted photos taken moments before he was wheeled into the operating theatre.
In an emotional message accompanying the photos, she praised God for a successful operation and expressed deep gratitude to everyone who stood with the family during the difficult journey.
“Glory be to God. My husband’s surgery here in India was successful and he is doing well. God bless you for all your prayers, support and concern. Happy New Year,” she wrote.
She also gave special appreciation to gospel singer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya, who had earlier appealed to Kenyans to help raise funds for Njeru Thiga’s treatment.
Karangu Muraya later confirmed the good news, revealing that the surgery was long and delicate, lasting more than 15 hours, during which family and friends waited anxiously before doctors finally delivered the positive outcome.
The successful surgery has sparked relief and joy among fans, fellow musicians, and Kenyans online, many of whom continue to send prayers and well-wishes as Njeru Thiga embarks on his recovery journey.
