A Kenyan TikToker has sparked online excitement after revealing he flew on the same commercial aeroplane as former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Andrea Andy shared his experience on TikTok, describing the moment as unforgettable. His excitement grew when the flight crew openly acknowledged Uhuru’s presence during the standard welcome briefing.
At the start of the journey, a female crew member welcomed passengers aboard. Moments later, the captain’s voice followed, formally recognising the former head of state and greeting him on the flight, drawing quiet admiration from those on board.
Andy later posted a video captioned with excitement, noting that he could hardly believe he was travelling on the same aircraft as Uhuru. For him, it was a moment worth documenting before even checking into his hotel.
The former president’s destination was not immediately clear, prompting Kenyans online to speculate. Some wondered why Uhuru was using a commercial flight, with a few questioning whether he owned a private jet.
Around the same period, Uhuru had been in Nigeria, where he attended the 2025 Future Africa Leaders Awards in Lagos. During the visit, he toured the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, a facility dedicated to preserving Africa’s political, cultural, and historical heritage.
According to information shared from the visit, Uhuru explored exhibitions highlighting Nigeria’s democratic journey, regional peace initiatives, and Africa’s role in global diplomacy and sustainable development.
He also delivered a keynote address at the awards ceremony, where he praised Africa’s youth, describing them as the continent’s greatest asset. He emphasised leadership built on integrity, service, and vision.
Uhuru was accompanied by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka during the Nigerian visit, further fueling public interest in his recent movements.
