Elon Musk Fires Fresh Shots at Trump and Top Republicans

Elon Musk has once again sparked controversy with remarks about Donald Trump and Epstein-related files.

Elon Musk has deepened his public feud with Donald Trump by making bold, unsupported claims about the former president’s possible mention in unreleased government files linked to Jeffrey Epstein. The stirring public debate without providing evidence.

Court documents released in previous years had already listed Trump among several public figures connected to Epstein. However, there were no criminal accusations tied to Trump, and being named in such records did not imply any wrongdoing.

Epstein, a disgraced financier accused of sex trafficking, died by suicide in 2019 while in custody. He had known Trump socially years ago in Palm Beach, though Trump has since said they parted ways long before Epstein’s scandals came to light.

During his presidential campaign, Trump promised to make more Epstein files public. Earlier this year, Attorney General Pam Bondi released more documents, but they didn’t bring new information to the table.

Musk Slams GOP Leaders Over Budget Flip-Flops

Beyond Trump, Musk has widened his attacks to include Republican leadership. He directly called out House Speaker Mike Johnson, pointing to a post Johnson made in 2023 criticizing President Biden’s spending. Musk questioned the Speaker’s apparent change of heart by asking, Where is the Mike Johnson of 2023!?”

Musk also didn’t spare Senate Majority Leader John Thune. He reposted an old article from 2011 where Thune had strongly backed a balanced-budget amendment—using it to highlight what Musk sees as hypocrisy now that Thune supports large government expenditures under Trump’s influence.

The tension between Musk and Trump, which started over policy and federal contracts, now seems to be turning into a larger disagreement with the Republican establishment. As Musk grows more vocal, his influence may push new ideological shifts within the party as it prepares for the 2026 midterms.
