Chaos at Jesus Winner Church: Kenya’s President, William Ruto, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to supporting religious institutions, stating he is unapologetic about his financial contributions to churches. Speaking at the AIC Fellowship Annex in Eldoret on Sunday, March 9, the head of state emphasized that Kenya is a Christian nation and affirmed his dedication to faith-based initiatives.

Kenya’s President Declares Nation’s Christian Identity

Ruto reaffirmed his belief in God’s transformative power, stating that Kenya’s prosperity is anchored in divine grace.

“This country is a Christian nation that worships the Lord. And we are not ashamed to be identified as Christians. We are unafraid, unashamed, and unapologetic about our faith in God. I believe that the grace of God is enough to transform this country. I am a witness of God’s faithfulness in this country,” he said.

President Ruto Blames Critics on Church Opposition

According to Ruto, opposition to his church donations is influenced by people who do not believe in God. He alleged that such individuals are working against his mission of supporting religious institutions.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the pushback from the people who don’t believe in God, who don’t believe that we should be building churches, who don’t believe that we should be supporting the work of God, I want to say that in this nation, God will be known,” Ruto stated.

Ruto Vows Continued Church Support

Despite facing backlash, Ruto expressed his unwavering commitment to contributing towards church projects. He promised to support the completion of ongoing church construction before December 2025.

“Those who know their God will be strong. I want to say that in this nation, God will be known, and we will do great exploits. I believe that the grace of God is enough to transform this country. I am a witness of God’s faithfulness in this country.”

Furthermore, he called out those opposing his church-building initiatives, asserting that their efforts would fail.

“Those against the building of churches in Kenya will fail. That is my conviction,” Ruto stated.

President Ruto’s Generosity to Jesus Winner Ministry

During his speech, the president revisited his recent visit to Jesus Winner Ministry, where he pledged to support their construction efforts. He directed the church leadership to double their previous contributions and assured them of his financial backing.

“I was in Jesus Winners last week, and the people there are wonderful. I hear you made some contributions last week here in this church for the construction. Take that amount, double it, and give me the invoice. I will send you that money,” he instructed.
