Amina Abdi Ends Her Seven-Year Journey at NTV’s The Trend
Media personality Amina Abdi Rabar has announced her exit from Nation Media Group. She revealed that her final show as the host of The Trend aired on Friday night, ending her seven-year role on the popular entertainment program. Amina took over from Larry Madowo in 2017 and has since become a household name in the Kenyan media space.
Before joining NTV, Amina had already made her mark in radio and television. She started her journey at Homeboyz Radio School, where she sharpened her skills in presenting and production. She later worked at Homeboyz Radio and Capital FM, where she grew into one of the most familiar voices on Kenyan airwaves.
Her television career gained momentum when she hosted Alfajiri on K24. This opened doors for her to join NTV, where The Trend provided her the stage to connect with a wide audience every Friday night. Over the years, she became known for her energy, charm, and ability to engage both celebrities and fans.
Amina’s departure leaves one of Kenya’s most-watched entertainment shows at a critical point. Fans are now waiting to see who will take the seat and continue the legacy that she helped grow.
