For many years, Samuel from Uganda lived a frustrating life filled with near-success and constant disappointment. Every time things seemed about to work out, something would suddenly go wrong. When he was about to get a good job, the opportunity disappeared. When his small business started picking up, unexpected losses followed. Even when he saved some money, emergencies would arise and wipe everything out. It felt like success was always just one step away—but never within reach.
What hurt Samuel the most was that people around him could see his potential. Friends often told him he was smart, hardworking, and disciplined. Yet his life never reflected those qualities.
