Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has slammed Presidential hopeful Fred Matiangi for criticizing President William Ruto’s administration reveals he can never win the presidency as he compares him with Raila Odinga.
The renowned top politician in Kenya today argued that President William Ruto has more experience in politics than Matiangi who has never been elected even once by the people to lead.
“I have seen Matiangi criticizing President William Ruto’s administration. You have no right, you have never been elected. Trying becoming an MCA, You can’t be roaming around your region saying that you want to become President. Running the country is not a joke. President William Ruto has not started campaigning,” Cheruiyot said, speaking on January 1, 2025 as he reacts on Matiang’i presidency target.
He added that the Presidency is not a joke, noting that the late former Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga tried 5 times , he never succeeded, even though he was a popular politician.
He called on the leaders of the United Opposition to reconsider their Presidential ambitions.
“I don’t understand why a few individuals can wake up and say that they want to become President. The late Rt Hon. Raila Odinga was a very popular politician, but he did not succeed in becoming the President. Matiangi should try and run for a small seat, see how it goes.”
Matiangi had criticized President William Ruto’s administration over the state of Health and Education.
