Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir, popularly known as Toto, has given Kenyans a rare look at her private village residence while hosting a festive gathering for her neighbors.

On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, the youngest MP in the 13th Parliament welcomed residents of Chemomul to her home to share “Christmas tokens” and celebrate the holiday season.

The event, which Toto described as a moment of “togetherness and gratitude,” has trended on social media as followers caught a glimpse of the modern improvements she has made to her family estate since her historic 2022 election.

A Modern Touch in Chemomul

Photos shared by the lawmaker reveal a well-maintained village residence that blends traditional rural comfort with modern architectural touches. The main house features a distinct red, sloped metal roof and light-colored exterior walls.

A standout feature of the residence is the wide verandah supported by sturdy columns, providing a spacious open front where she hosted the morning’s festivities. The home sits on a lush green compound, reflecting the typical scenic beauty of Bomet County.

“I am grateful to everyone who took time to come and share a warm moment of togetherness as we celebrated the season of love, sharing, and gratitude,” Toto stated in her Christmas message.

Staying Connected to Her Roots

Since rising from a humble background to national fame, Linet Toto has made it a point to remain accessible to her constituents. Earlier in 2024, she made headlines for gifting her parents a new house, a project she said was a way of honoring her humble beginnings.

Her decision to host the Christmas event at her village home rather than an urban hotel has been praised by Bomet residents as a sign of her “unconventional” and “grounded” leadership style.

The Spirit of Giving

Christmas tokens, which included food hampers and household essentials, were distributed to elderly neighbors and vulnerable families within the Chemomul area. The lawmaker urged Kenyans to use the festive period to look out for one another amidst the current economic challenges.

“May the spirit of togetherness continue to unite us as one community. Merry Christmas to you all,” she added.
