Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy is full of pride as his wife, Brenda, graduates with a diploma in hospitality.
Sharing the moment on social media on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Stevo wrote, “She believed, she conquered. Proud of you, my love!”
The couple’s love story began in an unexpected way during a TikTok live session. Brenda first noticed Stevo while he was live at Utalii College.
“I added him on the live, and later he DM’d me saying we would talk after,” she recalled in an interview with Obinna TV on October 22, 2025.
They soon planned to meet in person.
Brenda said, “I told my sister I was going to see Stevo. She was worried, but I told her we should go.”
She traveled with her former manager’s car to the college. Their first meeting left her a little confused.
“At first, he confused me. His voice and his face were different from what I imagined,” she said, laughing.
On their second meeting, Stevo welcomed her warmly.
“He cooked ugali and sukuma, and started telling me about his hopes of finding someone who would love him for who he is,” Brenda recalled.
Despite living modestly with second-hand furniture and sharing a home with his brother, his sincerity and simplicity touched her.
“He didn’t have much, but he had a big heart. I even helped him wash some clothes and duvet,” she said.
