Kenyan Based Billionaire Wanjigi Attacks President Ruto Government Over Public Asset Privatisation Shares What Should Be Done

Kenyan billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi has criticized President William Ruto’s administration over alleged privatization of public assets.

In a post shared on November 29, 2025 Wanjigi called for an audit on public debts, stating Kenyans can’t be tenants in their own country.

He accused the government of borrowing huge amounts of money, noting that debts are accruing despite lack of major developments. Some Kenyans urged him to speak on these issues in public, with Jessy Oketch saying, “Just call for a presser and speak up.”

Others criticized Wanjigi for allegedly targeting Ruto’s administration while not condemning former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government, which also borrowed heavily. Kennedy Kenya said, “Why didn’t you speak up during Uhuru’s time? Let President Ruto work.”

Wanjigi’s comments have sparked mixed reactions, with some supporting his stance and others questioning his timing.

He had initially been accused of funding some of the youths who were protesting against President Ruto’s administration in 2024.

The President’s allies alleged that he was using young people for self Benefit.
